Orient tickets go on general sale

Posted on: Mon 16 Jul 2012

Matt Wright reports

Tickets for Charlton's pre-season friendly at Gillingham and Capital One Cup home clash with Leyton Orient next month have gone on general sale from the Valley commercial centre.

Chris Powell's men will take on the Gills in a 'Kent derby' at Priestfield Stadium on Saturday, August 4th (3pm) in their penultimate first-team test before the 2012/13 campaign gets under way.

The Addicks have been allocated up to 3,000 tickets in the open-air Brian Moore Stand, and prices are £15 adults, £10 over 60s, £5 U16s and free for U12s who are accompanied by an adult. Wheelchair and ambulant disabled tickets are £15 with a helper free of charge.

Furthermore, tickets for the opening Valley fixture of 2012/13 against Orient can now be purchased from SE7.

The Addicks have been drawn at home to East London side Orient in the first round of the newly renamed Capital One Cup on Tuesday, August 14th (7.45pm), and all tickets for the encounter are priced £10 adults and £5 U21s and over 60s.

As was the case last season, when the Addicks faced Reading and Preston North End in the League Cup, the club is opening all four sides of the stadium for the fixture. However, the upper north and upper west will not be open.

The usual places of season-ticket holders will therefore not be reserved, and tickets will be posted out until 5pm on Friday, August 10th.

Tickets for both fixtures can be purchased in person from the Valley commercial centre or by calling 0871 226 1905 from 9am-5pm weekdays, and will also be available to purchase online in the near future.

Fans should note that the commercial centre is closed on Saturdays until August 11th.

Although swap week ended on Friday, season tickets remain on sale ahead of the 2012/13 Championship campaign.

Earlier this month, season-ticket sales stood at 10,450 - up 13 per cent on the final tally last term, with fewer than 1,000 2011/12 holders still to renew.

Season tickets are no longer available to renew online, but should be available again online soon, while anyone wishing to take advantage of the Zebra Finance instalment payments must return their application by July 23rd in order for applications to be processed for the start of the season.

Adult season tickets cost £290, £400 and £425, over 60s and U21s pay £200, £275 or £300, U18s £99 and U11s £49 in all areas, with a special rate of £240 in the north-east quadrant for an adult who is accompanied by an U18 or U11.

Disabled season tickets are £240 adults, with over 60s and U21s paying £150, all U18s £99 and all U11s £49, with carers admitted free of charge.

Valley Express season passes are available at £138 for coach travel to all 23 home Championship matches from across Kent and Sussex.

Season tickets can be ordered by post, by downloading the application form here, over the phone, and over the counter between 9am-5pm weekdays.
